Individual and Group Achievement Awards

These awards recognize outstanding personal or group achievement in keeping with the ideals and goals of the STARFLEET Medical Corps.

Surgeon General Service Ribbon:

Awarded to the STARFLEET Medical Corps member who has served or currently serves as Surgeon General, STARFLEET.

Deputy Surgeon General Service Ribbon:

Deputy-Surgeon-General

Awarded to the STARFLEET Medical Corps member who has served or currently serves as Deputy Surgeon General, STARFLEET.

Surgeon General’s Command Staff Service Ribbon:

Surgeon-Generals-Staff Awarded to the STARFLEET Medical Corps member who served or currently serves on the Surgeon General’s Command Staff.

Surgeon General’s Committee Chief Service Ribbon:

Surgeon-Generals-Committee Awarded to any STARFLEET Medical Corps member who served as a Committee Chief for any of the following –Veterinary Health Issues, Women’s Health, Public Health Emergencies, Community Safety, Personal Safety, Emergency Preparedness, Public Health and Communications.

Achievement Award with Gold Cross, First Class Ribbon:

The Surgeon General, STARFLEET Medical, in consultation with the Deputy Surgeon General/Deputy Director, STARFLEET Medical, select a member of the STARFLEET Medical Corps whose character, qualifications (both “real-world” and in STARFLEET) and actions in the STARFLEET Medical Corps exemplify the ideals of the Medical Corps in service to the Fleet. The actions of this individual are well-beyond those expected of Medical Corps members during the year. The individual demonstrated this excellence through repeated acts of service which bring great credit upon the individual, STARFLEET Medical Corps, and STARFLEET.
No more than two, Annual Awards.

 

The Deputy Surgeon General/Deputy Director, STARFLEET Medical Corps, will develop the rationale for this category of recognition and submit the justification to the Surgeon General, STARFLEET Medical Corps.

Similar to the conditions described above. Here, two, significant acts of service during the year are noted. No more than five, Annual Awards.
The STARFLEET Medical Corps Training Officer and two, additional members of STARFLEET Medical Corps Command Staff will develop the rationale for this category of recognition and submit the justification(s) to the Deputy Surgeons General for concurrence.

Medical Star of Honor with Silver Cross Ribbon:

Awarded for any STARFLEET Medical Corps member (in Health and Medical Sciences, Community Health, or Nursing) who served as a Medical Panel Participant at an IC or Regional Summit.

Firefighters’ Star of Honor with Silver Cross Ribbon:

Awarded for any STARFLEET Medical Corps member who is, also, a fire and rescue professional and served as a Medical Panel Participant at an IC or Regional Summit.

EMT/Paramedic Star of Honor with Silver Cross Ribbon:

Awarded for any STARFLEET Medical Corps member who is, also, an EMT/Paramedic professional and served as a Medical Panel Participant at an IC or Regional Summit.

Surgeon General’s Special Commendation for Medical Corps Service Ribbon:

This is an award from the Surgeon General of the STARFLEET Medical Corps to a member of the Medical Corps who demonstrated exceptional service and achievement in keeping with the ideals and tradition of the Medical Corps.

STARFLEET Medical Corps Commendation for Exemplary Group Effort Ribbon:

Med Corps Commendation Group Effort
All members of the group activity would receive this merit based, group award for an exemplary group activity and achievement in keeping with the goals of the STARFLEET Medical Corps.

The activity should demonstrate cooperation with STARFLEET Medical, Regional Health Science leaders, and/or chapter-level CMOs.

This activity should be completed within a calendar year.

The STARFLEET Medical Corps Command Staff (in cooperation with Regional Health Science leaders, as appropriate) will develop the nomination packet for this group award that will be submitted to the Surgeon General, STARFLEET Medical Corps.
