First introduced in the Deep Space Nine episode “Armageddon Game,” the Engineering Extension Course is designed to supplement the medical training of STARFLEET doctors by providing foundational engineering knowledge.

Participants will gain: 

  • A broad understanding of starship systems and operations
  • Practical engineering skills relevant to maintenance, repair, and emergency protocols
  • Knowledge fostering interdisciplinary collaboration between medical and engineering departments

This training enhances mission readiness and encourages a cohesive, cross-functional approach to starship operations.

Please include certificates or screenshots from the SFI database/course page as proof of course completion. You will be issued with a graduation certificate and the Engineering Extension Course award will be entered into the SFI database.
